Dual Language Program
Expanding to second grade in 2026-2027!
Students in K4 through 1st grade learn in English and Spanish through a 50/50 instructional model, spending equal time developing skills in each language. Starting early gives children a strong foundation for bilingual learning.
This balanced approach helps students grow confidently in both languages while building cultural awareness, problem-solving skills, and flexibility in their thinking and learning.
Spanish Language Arts Dual Language instruction is delivered using La Cartilla and Amplify Caminos.
Literacy Instruction
Students learn to read using a data-driven approach that includes:
Great Minds: Wit & Wisdom helps students build the knowledge and skills they need to be successful readers, exceptional writers, and effective communicators.
Heggerty Phonics provides phonemic awareness lessons to support a comprehensive approach to early literacy instruction.
Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) promotes sequential skill and knowledge-building by emphasizing the importance of building on existing knowledge.
Science & Math
Students learn science and math through research-based curricula designed to foster critical thinking skills.
Amplify Science is a hands-on curriculum that combines investigations, literacy-rich activities, and interactive tools.
Illustrative Mathematics encourages students to engage with math by using their knowledge and surroundings as resources.
Social Studies instruction follows the Wisconsin Standards, with grade-level learning in Inquiry Practices, Behavioral Sciences, Economics, Geography, History, and Political Science.
Faith Formation
Faith is central to daily life through prayer, weekly Mass, and in-class religious education rooted in Scripture, Catholic doctrine, and spirituality.
Religious Education
Loyola Press: Finding God encourages children to find God in all things.
Sacramental Preparation
Second-grade students receive in-class preparation for their First Holy Communion through St. Anthony Parish, deepening their faith while growing into compassionate, Christ-centered leaders.
Celebrating Milestones
At St. Anthony School, every achievement is a shared celebration. From the first day of school to K5 graduation and beyond, we honor each step of our students’ journeys.
Through parent-teacher conferences, parent meetings, and ongoing communication, we partner with families to ensure students are supported every step of the way.
